The introduction of high speed, high capacity scanners included with many Multi
Functional Devices, such as digital copiers, has given rise to a new problem. It
is now easier than ever to convert paper documents to electronic format, and store
them on a network, but this information can then just disappear into a digital ‘black
hole’.
BITS Scan has been designed to utilise the latest embedded technology to
resolve this problem. BITS Scan allows users to select relevant information relating
to a document at point of scan. Scanned documents are then transferred to a file
server or entered into a Document Management System along with the selected information,
allowing for easy searching and organising of data.
